so, there's cheryl. she lived in delaware--down the road from this
shy girl who rode horses, named abby. and when she went to church she
made friends with heather. she rode the school bus with chris and later
she went to high school
& met tim. eventually cheryl went to
college and kim lived across the hall. during the summertime she
became close friends with krissy, even though they had gone to high
school together. during another summer cheryl introduced chris and kim
online. uhem.
cheryl's circles had crossed, intertwined, collided!
so cheryl moved to maryland and married jamie. heather and tim got
married and had babies and got stationed in north carolina, then okinawa.
abby moved to florida, then pennsylvania. chris moved to kansas and
is finally moving back. kim stayed put in maryland. krissy went upstate
to college.
we'll see what happens from there...

I wish that I could abby... but time seemed to trickle by for me today. what an icky day! Please pardon the following looooooooong ass bitch....
I work in a lab that basically mass produces proteins and stuff, and part of my job is to test the water to make sure that its not contiaminated (the proteins that we make have the potential to be used in drugs and vaccines that could be used on humans). Well today I got a test request on some media that they use in the clean rooms (where they make the proteins). I didn't think much of it, we get requests all the time. I set about getting all the paperwork in line and got everything together... only to discover that the plates that I would be using expired May 31st! GRRRRR... So I went to the fridge and began searching for more plates that hadn't already expired. Turns up that all 30 some packs of plates that I had HAD ALL EXPIRED on the 31st! Had to toss all of them. MORE GROWLS! Then had to go over to shipping and recieving to see if they had anymore in stock. Guess what?! Earlier that morning, they had just tossed all of the plates that they had because... they all WERE EXPIRED TOO!!!! ACK! *pulls out hair* Tracked down my boss Denise, and told her. We went about the silly paperwork that we needed to order more plates, and because we are a growing business, our purchasing department is ACROSS THE FRICKIN' STREET! So had to get in my car, drive across and talk to the lady in purchasing and tell her that the order needed to be rushed. (feeling like a TOTAL dumbass because I had just seen her on Friday for a very similar situation, its really not my fault!) Got the plates ordered, drove back to the main building and found out that we could subsitute TSA plates (which we had in stock) with the expired ones. *whew!* Went back to the lab, and picked up where I left off only to discover that one of the standards that we use for the test had expired!!!! I start freaking out. Check all of the extra packs in the fridge and nothing! Go in the back and check with shipping and recieving.... nothing.... start to panic... finallly go in to talk to Denise, and she just looks at me with a "now whats wrong look" I tell her and shes got the same frustrated look on her face that I've had all morning. WE decide to go ahead and use the expired standard, and we'll just write a deviation for it (aka MORE PAPERWORK!) Finally, back in the lab, its now 11:30 (I had been at this whole run around mess since 7, oh did I mention the fire drill that they threw in the middle of all that to spice things up a little) Normally by this time I'm done with all my major work and can sit down and enjoy lunch with my coworkers. Not today.... Get through most of the daily samples that I have to do and come down to the bioburden that I have to do. Pour in the right amount and wait for it to filter out.... BUT NOTHING HAPPENS!!! ACK! Back to Denise, and tell her, and shes just got a "oh my... not another thing to go wrong" look on her face. Have to write another deviation because we have to filter less than was asked for because thier sample is clogging the filter! Back to the lab, and I go ahead and am still having trouble with it filtering, but its at least working. Denise comes back in the lab and asks me to go check the year on the "expired" standard. I get up, walk over and guess what it says... May 31st.... two thousand and THREE!!!!! Theres a WHOLE year before it expires. *Deep breath* Felt a little better, but upset that I wasted all that time and frustration for nothing! I finally finished up at 1:30 and went up to lunch.... only to be joined by Denise for the last half of it. *rolls eyes* She loves to talk and talk and talk and TALK... and mainly about nothing. *ARG* Did have a chance to sit down at my desk and "relax" with some paperwork before I got the hell out of there today. BUT ACK!!!!!!!! I went through ssoooooooooooooo much frustration for one frickin' test! and just.... GRRRRRRRRRRRRR........
enough of that crap, tahts behind me .... that is until 7 am tomorrow. Why do I get the feeling that I'm not gonna enjoy working full time at the same place?
In other news..... I got a kitty!!!!! YAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! Hes actually in Chris's hands until I move and the Darwin is all mine. YAY! ANd Chris isn't allowed to teach him any bad habits or anything! GRIN Theres a picture of my new little bundle of joy! Thats it for me.... for now at least.
