so, there's cheryl. she lived in delaware--down the road from this shy girl who rode horses, named abby. and when she went to church she made friends with heather. she rode the school bus with chris and later she went to high school & met tim. eventually cheryl went to college and kim lived across the hall. during the summertime she became close friends with krissy, even though they had gone to high school together. during another summer cheryl introduced chris and kim online. uhem.

cheryl's circles had crossed, intertwined, collided!

so cheryl moved to maryland and married jamie. heather and tim got married and had babies and got stationed in north carolina, then okinawa. abby moved to florida, then pennsylvania. chris moved to kansas and is finally moving back. kim stayed put in maryland. krissy went upstate to college.

we'll see what happens from there...

i think krissy ran away...hehehe...just hope it's warm wherever she is....

well i'm exhausted after sitting in the hospital for 11 hours...funny how sitting can make you tired!! edith was at the hospital too, heather...i figured you knew through the church grapevine...i guess i was just stalling--using my dad's "if you don't talk about it maybe it'll go away" technique...that never works, by the way! :) learned to knit today (edith helped) so i've got a great craft to help stay unstressed and unworried...but everything'll be fine, i'm sure.

the surgery went fine--a quick 2 hours and a rib and the left kidney was out. dr. said he could see the mass, but otherwise everything looked fine. the test results will be back in 7-10 days. the epidural wasn't working so well for the pain in her side (where they removed the rib), so they switched her to a morphine drip. needless to say, when we left this evening, she was feelin' okey dokey, so i think it helped a lot. they'll have her up and walking tomorrow and i think it'll really wear her out. but she should be home monday or tuesday from the hospital.

thanks for all your prayers and love! i gotta get some sleep!!! if i can stop knitting!!! it really is habit-forming!! :)

YAYAYAY!!! The new Harry Potter Book will be out June 21st!!! Thats WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!! I can't wait!!! Have held back from trying to preorder.... Just give me time. *wink*

Unpacking is going soooooooooooooo slow!!! I have all the important stuff taken care of. (Kitchen and important stuff for the bathroom, and my clothes are easily assiable) Just have to find the energy to finish it all up! I think that its funny that my mom keeps asking me if she can come play house. The rest of the unpacking kinda depends on the weather right now. If it snows... I'm gonna be unpacking, no snow, to a light dusting, and I'm off to spend my three day weekend with Chris in DE. =) But if it snows... I may not have to come in tomorrow! but then couldnt go to see Chris. *growl* this sucks!

Cheryl, when is your mom's surgery?? I'll be thinking of her and wishing for the best!!! (along with my mom, she was quite shocked by the news- claiming that shes so young!)

So not all that much going on to share- just lots of unpacking, got my first check at my new job. Kinda freaked me out because it siad that this was payment for the 1st to the 15,.... then I stopped and realized that I didn't start until the 6th. Those few extra days make a difference!!!!!! I just want our labs to be finished so that we can start doing some real work instead of all this computer/desk work trying to look busy! I was not cut out to be a desk person. (I eat WAY too much while trying to look busy) Darwin seems to be adjusting quite nicely to the new place. Came home last night to her toys laying in the center of my bed. silly kitty! And this morning before I left she had curled up on one of Chris's shirts that he left behind. And don't forget all the running around that shes been doing- right as I settle down for bed!!!

wow, you've got it counted down to the day heather...jamie's stepmom's nephew is a pilot w/the national guard and he's leaving this week or next for the middle east...had to change the date and time b/c the enemy found out their plan and was going to attack them before they could land...sheesh...i wonder if he was supposed to tell his entire family (and extended family now) that??

got another thing to add to the prayer list we've got going here....my mom's having major surgery tomorrow. i hadn't mentioned what's been happening b/c i...well, i dunno...my dad's approach--if you don't talk about it, maybe it won't really be real or actually happening?? a few days before christmas she found out that she has cancer. there's a very large tumor (mass?) in her left kidney. they found it 6 months ago when she was having all the poop problems from mexico still...it wasn't large enough to do anything about then, but it's since more than doubled in size. so they're taking it and the whole kidney out (and a rib). then they'll be able to biopsy it and the surrounding lymphnodes to make sure there's not any hanging around anywhere else...then they'll see what'll happen next...so....yeah. bummer. i'm headed home today and i'll be there until sunday probably...i'll keep you all posted. just pray, ok?

whooooo hooo!!! Go Abby's boy toy!!

Just found out that my sister's husband left for Kuwait last night. Hes going to be more behind the scenes (hes a Sea Bee, I ahve no clue if I spelled that right or not, but he basically builds things and stuff). But please keep him in your thoughts. Eventhough I'm not fond of him, I don't want anything to happen to him for my sister's sake. Although it sucks that he left the day before her birthday and their 1 year anniversary. Doesn't that suck ass?! Last year, they got married on the 14th and then he left for boot camp on the 15th. Oh well, its the life that she has chosen to live.

Did I mention how bored I am right now????
