:: welcome to when circles collide? :: :: | ||||||
so, there's cheryl. she lived in delaware--down the road from this shy girl who rode horses, named abby. and when she went to church she made friends with heather. she rode the school bus with chris and later she went to high school & met tim. eventually cheryl went to college and kim lived across the hall. during the summertime she became close friends with krissy, even though they had gone to high school together. during another summer cheryl introduced chris and kim online. uhem. cheryl's circles had crossed, intertwined, collided! so cheryl moved to maryland and married jamie. heather and tim got married and had babies and got stationed in north carolina, then okinawa. abby moved to florida, then pennsylvania. chris moved to kansas and is finally moving back. kim stayed put in maryland. krissy went upstate to college. we'll see what happens from there...

:: Saturday, March 01, 2003 :: what?!? aaaahhh!!! i can't deal! i'm not even sure WHO we're talking about...i can guess, but EMMMY!!! you can't do this to us!!!! how are we going to find out if you don't tell us!! is he preggy!?!? ha! please tell me no! will you tell us if we guess?? :):: Friday, February 28, 2003 :: awww kim!!! sucks to be sick on your BIRTHDAY!!! i hope you have a happy one anyway!!!:: Thursday, February 27, 2003 :: I hate being sick!!!! Have spent the whole day in bed sleeping and reading... bored out of my mind, but not feeling well enough to do anything interesting. *sigh*:: Tuesday, February 25, 2003 :: warning! warning! abby!! don't read kim's post! warning! warning! : ) you guys are silly! I haven't had much time to be crafty. The extent of my craftiness is making kitty toys for Darwin (in the hopes that she'll leave my beanie babies alone!!! I found that if you sew felt up and fill it with barely, that she goes crazy and they usually end up in my bed-fully intact) But lately I have been getting into Yoga. I bought a tape and have been doing well with it (yay! I can touch my toes without bending my knees... and can almost bend over and touch my head ot my knees... ALMOST!) I'm really enjoying it though. One of the tapes I got is an hour long and after 3 days of doing it every day my arms are sore and my legs are a little tight. I also have a pilates tape- but that KILLLS!!!! I also got another one that is more for relaxation. I've done that one the most, getting quite good at it (that is unless Chris is over and decides to distract me with very inappropirate (sorry can't spell!) gestures while I'm being serious!) Theres a yoga studio really close to my apartment, and I'm going to try to go to a class tomorrow. I'm hoping that I don't chicken out! aaaaaaaaaaaanways... I should get back to work. We're actually going to start an experiment this week. Today we are finishing cleaning up in the lab and making the media. Tomorrow is the big day. The rats that we ordered will be in and will be "scaraficed" what a lovely word for it, don't ya think. We'll be harvesting the blood, the spleen and the bone marrow. But its all going to a good means. We're trying to get the stem cells so that we can work on other experiments to help find cures for nerve disease (like parkinsons and brain tumors) and for liver problems and disease. Luckily I won't be helping with the actually killing of the rats, but will be helping with the disection part (I don't think I'll mind that all that much, but i'll keep you all posted). And the procedure for getting the bone marrow should be interesting. We'll be inserting large gauge needles into the bones of the back legs and then just suck out the marrow. And if I've grossed anyone out, I truly am sorry, and I could go on with more gross things that I've watched (many MANY butcherings from when I was little: pig, rabbit, chicken- have you actually seen a chicken run without its head? It really is quite amusing. ;) and the other disections that I've done with school (my group nicknamed me the butcher ;) Okay, so now that I've shared my gruesome side to you all, I'm really going to get going this time!:: Monday, February 24, 2003 :: oooo...the sand candles! i have the instructions from a --forgive me-- martha stewart magazine....doesn't look too hard!! i've got knitting group on thursday from 4-6pm, but maybe if we met up in the morning...not too early mind you! yay for soap making! i've not tried it, but i'm sure it's great fun! at the moment i'm making wine glass charms with beads (i've already got a bunch made, but i'm putting them on card stock so that i can sell them at the wine & cheese shop! hooray!), marble magnets, and i'm knitting some dishcloths for a friend's housewarming party in 2 weeks! (i think she'll also get some wine glass charms and maybe some wine glasses if i can get to the ac moore! they're only $1.19 there!) hey krissy--you wanna meet up in dover one day this week for craftiness??
