:: welcome to when circles collide? :: ::

so, there's cheryl. she lived in delaware--down the road from this shy girl who rode horses, named abby. and when she went to church she made friends with heather. she rode the school bus with chris and later she went to high school & met tim. eventually cheryl went to college and kim lived across the hall. during the summertime she became close friends with krissy, even though they had gone to high school together. during another summer cheryl introduced chris and kim online. uhem.

cheryl's circles had crossed, intertwined, collided!

so cheryl moved to maryland and married jamie. heather and tim got married and had babies and got stationed in north carolina, then okinawa. abby moved to florida, then pennsylvania. chris moved to kansas and is finally moving back. kim stayed put in maryland. krissy went upstate to college.

we'll see what happens from there...

Sit back for a rant....

Went to bed last night with the tv on (not something I normally do), and woke up at 3:24 and noticed that it was still on. I got up to turn it off and go to the bathroom when I noticed that my closet doors in my bedroom were open (usually kept closed because I don't keep anything of importance in there). I'm watching my parents cat and was trying to tell myself that maybe the cats did it while they were playing, and then I got a little paniked and walked to my computer desk and found just wires, the tv was missing, along with the dvd player, my cell phone, the phone in the kitchen, my spare set of keys for my new car- along with the keyless entry remote and my sliding glass door was wide open and the window screen was flapping in the breeze in my front window. As I looked out the front window I know I saw a man outside trying to hide behind the curtain. I got paniked thinking that the cats had run out and was going to go after them when I thought better of it and went in search of a phone. Luckily I had another phone in the living room and called the police. They were there in 5 minutes! Went over everything with the officer and they called the dogs but didn't find anything. He then dusted for prints and was able to pick up 3 of them. Not sure if they are mine of his though. I had him use my keyless entry to double check that my car was still in the parking lot. He walked out, saw it flash and then walked back in. I'm sure that you can imagine that I was way freaked out by this point. I callled my parents at their hotel in Myrtle Beach and they both advised me to get out of there and head home. I called Chris and talked to him for quite awhile waiting for the sun to come up more. In the mean time I packed my bags and got everything ready to go. At around 6:30 or so I decided it was time to head out- with both cats mind you. Walking to my car was one of the scariest things I've had to do. I've never felt so helpless and defensless. I got in the car and noticed that there was something in the backseat- MY TV AND MONITOR!!! I can't believe the sonofabitch was going to take my car too! I wasn't going to go back into the house at that point so I drove 10 min away and called the police officer assigned to my case from a pay phone. Unfortunatly he had already left for the day, so I had to leave a messae and won't be able to talk to him until after 6:30 tonight. I also checked the trunk and most of the other stuff that was missing was in there. I drove like a bat out of hell to my parent's house to begin the long list of calls.

Did I mention that I currently do not have renter's insurance and because I'm in Columbia and my parents are in Myersville and I have already graduated from college I don't fall under their homeowner's insurance. (ALL OF YOU GET IT NOW IF YOU DON"T ALREADY HAVE IT!!!!) Luckily the only things missing at this point are my cell phone (ACK!!!), my cable modem and a jar of change. I just can't help but think of way too many what ifs. I'm having the locks on my car changed and the alarm reset to another frequency- I refuse to take it to my apartment complex until I have done so! Too bad the car insurance won't cover that because its "preventive." They will only cover the cost of the replacement keys and its about $500 to change all the locks. *scowls*

I'm still way freaked out about this. I'm trying hard not to think too hard about next week when I'll be there by myself again. I've never been afraid of being alone before. I'm just so worried that he is going to come back. This so sucks. I'm at the waiting stage of all of this. The officer said that because I was home, that there is a good chance my case will be assigned to a detective and he'd have more time to work on it and catch the bastard. And I do feel somewhat relieved that I found the stuff in my car, but what if I hadn't woken up. I just am so scared and feeling so helpless right now, and I actually feel better than I did about 12 hours ago.

I'm off to play the waiting game some more.
